Rats and mice are notorious across the whole of the UK. They can infest any property or location that supplies an adequate food and water source. Both species multiply extraordinarily quickly and one can become many in only a few weeks.
Rats and mice both carry unwanted diseases into our environments. The most famous being leptospirosiss or weils disease which is passed to humans when they come into contact with rat urine. Other diseases such as salmonella are also prominent.
Rats and mice contaminate food, destroy building structures and cause fires when chewing on electric cables. They are feared and unwelcome in any surroundings.
Treatment are undertaken using a combination of traps and tamper resistant bait stations containing poisoned food baits.
Baiting is carried out as a two treatment programme over a 14 day period to ensure complete eradication, we will identify where the rodents are gaining access and recommend proofing requirements, we can carry out this work if required to do so.

December may be the month where Christmas is the hot topic of conversation, however it is important to keep in mind that pests will still be on the prowl even during this month, rats and mice are no exception to this.
December usually sees a drop in temperature across the UK and because of this there is a risk that rats and mice will venture indoors in an attempt to find shelter, warmth and food. The most likely place they will find this is within buildings, whether it be residential or commercial, and once they have found adequate shelter they can be an issue to remove. Because of the health risks associated with mice and rats and the fear of the damage they can cause it is important to eradicate this problem as soon as possible.
