Bed Bugs feed on many warm blooded animals but unfortunately their preferred hosts are humans. The adults and nymphs hide in cracks around the skirting boards, behind headboards and under mattresses. They feed at night and leave often irritating bite marks on the hosts reflected in small specs of blood on sheets and pillows. Each female lays 200-500 eggs at temperatures above 14 degrees centigrade, they hatch within 17 days. Adults in some circumstances can live without feeding for up to a year.
