Wasp Season has started in Ipswich Suffolk 17th May

The wasp nest season has started early this year as our technician was called to their first wasp nest removal at a house in a village on the outskirts of Ipswich Suffolk. We are moving ever closer to the wasp season in the UK and there are already signs of queen wasps coming out of hibernation and starting their nests. In the spring many people confuse large bee swarms as wasps and it very important to know the difference. Wasp season usually starts at the beginning of June and may notice the odd one or two floating about. You may discover the beginnings of a nest as a small ‘ping pong ball’ like shape object.

When a nest is in full swing you will usually notice a trail of wasps moving in and out of a specific area i.e. under soffits, between roof tiles, a hole in the ground, into a shed or garage, or occasionally in vegetation.

Please remember that wasps are very defensive and will often become aggressive and sting if disturbed. If you believe you may have a wasp nest and you would like this treated, please do not hesitate contacting Millennium Pest Control, please click here to make your online booking and recieve a 5% discount.
