The Signs:
The key signs to look out for with woodworm are the numerous small holes you find in the wooden beams, frames, or floorboards in your house. This is where the adult Beatles are exiting the wood. If you see piles of bore dust and the crumbling of wood on floorboards or joists. Or if you physically see dead or alive Beatles and the larvae.

The Facts:
A Larvae life span can be quite lengthy (between 2-5 years) which gives them plenty of time to eat away and damage any wooden structures you may have in your property so it is important that a treatment is undertaken. The eggs of the woodworm are laid in the cracks and crevices of the wood for protection.

The Treatment:
Our technician’s are skilled and knowledgable in this line of work and have successfully completed many woodworm treatments. They have treated loft spaces involving; rolling back insulation, carefully treating the joists and beams, rolling the insulation back, and leaving the area tidy. We treat floorboards and get underneath them, this involves; stripping the carpet back, cutting into the floor boards so that the treatment is done on either side of the boards and also the joists. Our technicians will proceed to; place the boards back, fix them to the joists again, sweep and tidy, and fix the carpet back to as it was. The insecticide that is used is residual and will have a lasting effect which is crucial against the larvae.
